- Interfacing / Stabilizer - Midweight fusible interfacing e.g. Pellon SF 101 Shape Flex / Vilene G700. If you are using a lightweight fabric you will want to use a heavier weight interfacing / stabilizer to create a firm bag. You can use a heavier interfacing on the Main bag pieces and a lighter interfacing on the Lining pieces or you can use the same interfacing on both. You will need approximately the amounts listed below (in YARDS):
- Sizes XS - M: approximately 0.25
- Sizes L - XL: approximately 0.50
- Fusible Fleece - You will need Fusible Fleece in addition to your chosen interfacing / stabilizer for your bag. You will need approximately the amounts listed below (in YARDS):
- Sizes XS - M: approximately 0.25
- Sizes L - XL: approximately 0.50
- 1x Zipper - You may need to cut your zipper to size. Recommended finished lengths for each size are:
- XS - 6 inch
- S - 9 inch
- M - 12 inch
- L - 15 inch
- XL - 18 inch
- OPTIONAL Bias Binding - double fold bias tape that is 1/4 inch wide when finished. You can buy/make 1/2 inch wide single fold bias tape and fold in half down its center line. Approximately 7 inches will be sufficient for all sizes. This can be used for the Tab Handle.
- Note - 1/4 inch wide ribbon can be used for the Tab Handle instead of the bias tape.

The wide variety of sizes means that there is one for whatever you need it for.

Great sew. Changed a few things to suit my needs. Used vinyl/faux leather for the outer and PUL for the lining. Perfect for makeup. Made an vinyl/faux leather unlined boxy bag for cloth pads.

It would be helpful to have a more detailed explanation of sewing all 8 sized seems for a beginner otherwise the pattern is straight forward.

This pattern is a great way to gain confidence with zippers! I use these for travel bags for myself, and they store easily as well!
Diane Moses –
This was a fun project and the most difficult part was the way the box corners were done. It’s easier to cut the square out and pinch open to sew along a non bulky line. Great gift for someone.
Vicky Wiseman –
This pattern is super quick to make up! Fantastic scrap buster, easy instructions. All my friends and family are going to have a couple of these made for them! Thanks for another amazing pattern!
Rachelle Crosbie –
A very practical bag pattern with so many potential uses. Would make a fantastic toilet bag, I’m using mine for knitting projects. Be aware if using vinyl you probably don’t need the extra fusible fleece.
Cindy Goldstein –
These pouches are great sizes and easy sews. Make for a great cosmetic bag, to hold cherished items or to use as creative gift wrap
Bernadette Aitken –
These Boxy Pouches are reasonably easy to sew. I suggest starting with the larger sizes and working down as it gets easier and quicker to make them as you sew more of them. The sizes are perfect for tiny handbag items, all the way up to a toiletries bag.

I love the way this boxy zip pouch turned out! This is such a fun sew and very satisfying.
Laura Wheelis –
This was such an easy sew and will make great gifts! I made the medium and love that it is flat enough not to be bulky in a tote bag but not too flat where it doesn’t hold much or has trouble zipping.
Luana Furlanetto –
I love this set! It looks so professionally made that I’ve been asked where I bought it! Having so many different size options makes it perfect for every need!

Rebekah Homer –
Super easy to follow the directions! At first I thought the tiny size was just for funzies, but I had the idea to use it to make a little trashbag holder (like doggie bag but for my diaper bag). It was perfect! It definitely got a little tight sewing this tiny thing, but it turned out beautifully. I added a grommet to the back so I could feed the bags through without needing to unzip. I love it. It was a great quick morning sew.
Mandy Tustin –
This is a quick and easy pattern to make. The instructions are some of the best that I’ve ever followed. Being scare of zips, I was concerned I might get it wrong, however, the instructions made it really easy.
Devorah Zamansky –
These were a fun make and since I made 4 at once I got a lot of practice with my zipper skills!
Bunford Orsi –
