A simple, fast sew, resulting in a comfy crop top. Covers my bra well and looks cute.
Sarah Miller –
This pattern is super quick and easy! You will want to make up a ton of cute workout tops with this pattern once you finish your first one! I loved this quick and fun sew! It is great as just the Bralette but I love the tank options as well! This pattern has a lot to offer for your workout wardrobe!
Heather Gratton –
Great pattern using the burrito method to magically join two pieces of fabric into one seamlessly! The burrito “roll” is well documented here with words and photos. This is quite a quick sew that produces something that actually looks like an expensive sports bra top!
Irene Grimes –
The end product is fabulous! I have already cut out two more to make. It is an easy and quick sew!
Lisa Papaleo –
My first time making any kind of under garment and it was quick and easy to sew! I’m very happy with my end product and will definitely be making more!
Stephanie Carnovale –
Love the lines in this pattern, really adds shape and is great for colour blocking. All the enclosed seams make it really comfortable to wear. It makes great active wear but could easily be the base for dance costumes. Will definitely make lots of these.
Nali Nali –
Bralette Tank with pleated skirt option. This is so super comfortable and easy to sew! Love the racerback design!
I’ll insert bra padding for my next piece. Size XS. Fabric mid weight cotton knit.
Jenna Page –
An quick sew. Great for using left over fabric. The bralette is comfortable to wear as summertop or on the beach. For sport it needs an bra under it for extra stability.
Francisca Beitler –

Nadine Simard –
Great technique for the bra. Perfect for low impact sport. Great coverage and comfortable.
Gabrielle Carisse –
Although I struggle with some part as the clear elastic, it turned out very flattering for my mommy tummy.
Hannah Bnana –
A quick and easy sew, doesn’t use much fabric and makes a cute little crop top.
Vicky Hughes –
Really enjoyed making this! Loved the burrito roll way of doing it. I like the tank options. Would have liked an option for a support option maybe? Will definitely be making more
Rachael Oultram –
Wonderful Bralette that is so comfy to wear.
Cristy Alexandra –
This was a quick and easy sew. I’d never done a burrito roll before but it was surprisingly simple.
Shauna Richards –
This tank top came together quickly and beautifully. I had never done elastic in seams before but I’m definitely a believer now! I love that there is an option for a pocket on the back so I have somewhere to put my phone while I’m at the gym and I also enjoy all the options covered in the step-by-step instructions for elastic or tanktop skirts to add. This pattern is perfect to hit the gym to get started on those new year’s resolutions!
Lisa Giorcelli –
This is a great pattern for the active youngsters! The racer back is super cute and comfy. It is a quick and easy sew too.
Luana Furlanetto –
Great pattern, I made the tank top option and I can’t wait to wear it for my next workout! I love the fitting that makes me look more in shape than what I actually am and nevertheless is very comfortable. Also a very quick sew!
Sahara Russell –
My little loves crop tops! When I saw this Bralette pattern I knew she would love it! This is such a easy pattern to follow and make. Perfect to make during naptime! This top fits so well too! Have a few more cut out and can’t wait to get them made.
Angel Pooley –
Loved this sew and really pushed my boundries with a new technique but it was explained well and was finished super quick after I got the hang of it!
Jenni Elizabeth Early –
This is a super-fun, quick sew with a lot of options. Want an elastic casing? Check. Want an exposed elastic band or just a fabric band? Got that too. Want to switch it up to a tank top? With ruching or pleats? Those options are written in as well. There’s even a cell phone pocket in the back! With excellent fitting tips and fabric suggestions, this will be your go-to pattern for sports bras and sports tanks. I can’t wait to sew up more 🙂
Pam O’Flynn –
Super easy pattern with multiple options! Can be a sports bra, a tank or a tunic! Want the tank? You choose between ruched sides or flowing skirt. I would size up, though, by one size from your normal RP pattern range.
Kayler Griffiths –
I found this sew a little difficult. I feel the straps need adjusting to be wider so it’s not so difficult to close up. Otherwise a fun pattern, my daughter loves her new crop & has been saying it’s her “bikini” all day. Haha
Donna Lowe –
I enjoyed making this top. I love its fit and it is very comfortable. I will be making more.
Kelle Lujan –
While this pattern makes a great workout piece, the gathered tank top is suitable for everyday wear. The gathers give it a little visual interest while camoflaging any fluff. Plus, there is a great crop style and flared bottom also included that I can’t wait to try. Overall, pattern pieces fit together well and the directions were simple to follow with plenty of pictures. A fun addition to your wardrobe, whether used for athletic gear or not.
Heather Luben –
This makes an excellent bra for my pre-teen daughter! It fits well, though may run a bit small…I accidentally made the next size up, and it fit well. A bit more of a crop top if the model does’t have a lot of chest, but still super cute! Can be fancied up with the pocket or tank top options, or left plain and spiced up with fancy fabric! Will definitely be making more of these for her!
Melissa –
A very easy pattern and such a quick sew. I love the options available.
Tania Watson –
“I totally love this pattern it’s a great work out top with several options depending on what you require from a workout top. The elasticated neckline and arm holes as well as depending on option chosen for elasticated waist mean it’s a top that will stay in place while your working out.
I would put this as an adventurous beginner pattern as although it is pretty easy to put together. The burrito method for the arm holes some may find a little tricky but once you know what you are doing it works a treat.
This is a well constructed top and will be featuring a lot in my running wardrobe. “
Wanda –
My first bralette! The pattern was easy to follow and went together quickly. The hidden inner elastic was the hardest part for me. Fabric choices will make a big difference to final fit so appreciated the guidance provided.
Gabz Kashuba –
This pattern is so quick to make and super cute to wear. Didnt ake me long to sew this pattern.
Lisa Corriveau –
The bralette turned out well & the basic version (no pockets or skirt) sewed up in an afternoon. I find the fit very true to size though if you want more room to move, it has a high fit under the arms & might be worth enlarging the armscye to suit your preference. Looking forward to making more of these in different fabrics for summer!
Alexandria Phillip –
I really enjoyed this pattern, it was fairly simple and came together quickly. The result is super comfortable and I am planning on making a few as gifts. I used the optional power mesh layer for a bit more support. I Would definitely recommend this as an addition to your comfortable clothes wardrobe.
June Butchee –
I love this pattern! Now I can make sports-type bras for my daughter and myself. I can never find any that fit me with any good support. The instructions are very good. The burrito roll method is very important to follow to avoid frustration. You can make this out of cotton lycra, performance or athletic, any other type of 4 way stretch fabric and have one of every color and fabric. Plus it only took me about an hour to make once I made one.
Courtney Palmer –
Really easy make, clear instructions and gorgeous results!
Kim Wester –
This was one of my most successful sews ever. I thought it would be complicated, but since I spread it out over a few days, it was not difficult at all. I needed a refresher on the burrito roll method, so I referenced videos online, and everything came together perfectly. This is the most comfortable base layer I’ve ever owned. I will make many more, and I’m excited to try all the variations. I love the full tank options, for more fabric over my belly, which is more flattering on me.
Janine Cochrane –
Totally loved this sew ? about 6 more waiting to get done!
Manuela Zender –
Its a little tricky to sew. But as soon i understood the “trick” i was able to sew it in no time. But you have ti have a little know how. My daughter loves the pattern and ordered already more bralette for her acrobatic class
Kat Churchill –
Quick Easy sew, many more for my 3 girls to come. Will definitely be making more
Emma Polley –
The bralette is a nice & easy sew, the finished product is really comfortable for low impact exercise
Donna Lowe –
My daughter loves this bralette so much I had to plead with her to take it off. I know I will be making move of them in each option.

Shaina Mack –
The Ladies Bralette is the perfect addition to every ladies’ wardrobe. The tank top version is so comfortable, stylish and practical that no one would know its an athletic top. Wear it to workout and then keep wearing it the rest of the day because its just so cute! The added cell phone pocket is deep and sturdy giving you peace of mind while you do an intense workout. The pattern is easy to sew, great for beginners or first time knit sewers and its versatile. Make the bralette version, the pleated tank top version and the gathered tank top version and you’ve got yourself an entire athletic wardrobe from one sewing pattern.
Chantal van Drunen –
This is such a nice pattern to have. The pattern gives you lots of options. I opted for the bralette with attached gathered skirt as I do not yet see my young daughters walking around with exposed belly. The pattern sews up very fast. I made 2 (from fabric to finished top) in just under 4 hours.
Erica Nemnich –
super cute design. Burrito roll is easy if you take it slow. Elastic added in was a little hard but doable. Wonder how it would be with no elastic?
Katarina Vaclavikova –
Such a super cute, quick pattern with good instructions. Easy to follow.
Pauline Kelly –
This is my summer favourite right now. The bralette is an easy make and making it into a top makes it an every day piece of clothing. I would recommend going down a size.
Kendra Quincy Knauf –
I was excited to make this pattern and it did not disappoint. You *should* wear a bra underneath it for support, but it’s great for some additional support if you are going bra-less at home and on-the-couch! I rated it as intermediate for the elastic around the arm and neckline and the understitching, which can be confusing for someone who has never done that before – especially if one is using the same material for lining and main!
Aune Wood –
This is a great addition to any work out wardrobe, or for just cleaning up around the house. Learning the burrito method was awesome!
