If you love maxis and twirl factor, Paris Day Dress is for you. If you have done ruffles or gathering before, then it will be a quick sew for you.
Kayla Kissane –
Very easy to follow dress pattern. Love the boat neck option!
Suzi Nasoor –
i love it..Great pattern
Jen Vincilione –
Great dress pattern. I enjoyed the semi fitted bodice, I’m going to try using woven for the skirt next!
Genevieve Lynne Grossmann –
I really enjoyed this sew – it has such a pretty result but is fun and quick. There are so many variations one can do with this pattern.
Ellin –
such a cute dress! Just love the simple classy design. So many choices for fabrics in the tiered skirt but still fabulously simple with the 1 tier
Brittney McCann –
This dress has so many options! I made the short sleeve, scoop neck, three tiered version. I was able to use my serger for the majority of the sewing and that made this a quick sew.
Jennifer Lichak –
The Paris Dress is such a fun sew! It’s the play dress I’ve always wanted a pattern for!
Ummul Masakin –
super quick sew and my girl can wear longer because of the loose cutting
Tori Priest –
An easy little dress to sew up for my wee girl! I am in love with the cute cap sleeve <3
Shima Chelong –

Magda Rindmo –
An easy pattern with a wonderful outcome. A happy, playful pattern. I will make many more of this!
Kim Wester –
I really enjoyed sewing this dress! I have never sewed cap sleeves, and was very delighted how it all came together after I finished the armscye hem. I wasn’t sure my gathers would look OK, but they look amazing, and after I overlocked all the seams, my dress looks professionally-sewn. Thank you Rebecca Page Patterns again for the sewing education and the wonderful pattern.
Kate THomson –
Great pattern! I ranked it intermediate because in this size it is not as easy to make but in a larger size I would rank it beginner.
Karin Williams –
A lovely, versatile pattern and a must have in every girl’s wardrobe. I love the fact that you can mix and match the pattern pieces to adapt the dress to suit different occasions and different seasons.
Joan Edmondson –
As soon as I saw the Paris day dress released, I knew I had to make it. The dress has a slightly casual feel but can also be dressed up. The pattern was easy to follow and fit so well. My only minor comment would be to slightly change the size of the arm hole for the cap sleeve version to a smaller size to provide a little size coverage. But I love the pattern as it is. I see myself making a bunch of these this summer
Jess Boaz-Head –
Great options! I adore the boatneck and all the sleeve options. The three tiered skirt has my heart!!
Hannah Zemek –
Absolutely loved making this dress! It was so easy and fit my little girl so well. I can see I’ll be making a lot more of them in the future
Emily Schimelfenyg –
I love how this pattern has the two different skirt options. A quick sew, but so many options.
Debra Rigsby –
I love this adorable dress. It’s for a baby shower and I can’t wait to see the reactions.
Dani Arthur –
A simple and beautiful dress. I really love the tiered option especially with the amazing twirl factor! It can really be dressed up or down and a super comfortable fit. Really a must have pattern! I definitely enjoyed sewing up this pattern, like a really good book, I couldn’t put it down until it was done!
Carrie Wilson –
What a sweet and comfortable dress. It truly feels like it could be worn all day and I’m not a dress person! Very flattering and I love the gathered skirt.
Beth Barton –
“Such a sweet vintage neckline on this dress! I had to shorten the neckband considerably to get it to lay flat, and the bodice could’ve been extended a few inches to accommodate a full bust, but this is a beautifully simple, unfussy pattern that makes a lovely summer dress.
Allow plenty of time for gathering, and be aware that if you would like to make the middle skirt tier sheer, the first tier edge falls very high; you might want to extend that and then shorten the next few tiers.”
Andreia de Almeida –
This dress is so gorgeous. The neckline is so pretty and it’s such a comfortable dress. There is a substantial amount of gathering involved, but it’s very much worth it for the final product!
Siska Ferdina Taslim –
Such a cute dress! I really enjoyed sewing it up too! Love that it has so many options.
Kerry Wallman –
This is adorable, and looks ready to wear. I rated this advanced Beginner only because of the ruffles on the multi-tier option. The pattern is easy to follow, and clearly written. The photos accompanying the pattern are helpful. So many options in terms of mixing/matching fabric prints, and sleave options. Super cute, and looks like you just bought it at a store.
Brandi Labonte –
So many options to create the perfect, comfy dress! My daughters appreciate the variety of sleeve options, as well as a choice of necklines and skirts. Adding some lace/mesh layers or using a wide variety of fabric types for various parts adds texture and visual appeal. My girls and I have really enjoyed dreaming up so many variations of this dress, ranging from casual play dresses to fancy special occasion frocks.
Nor Aliah Abdul Aziz –
I really love the pattern. Even though the length should be sit right pass the knee, mine turn to maxi length. But i love the length though!
Amy Kaczenski –
Perfect dress for little girls! Easy to sew with lots of variations to make each one unique!
Adelle Pears –
I love this pattern! You can have some real fun with the tiered version and pattern placement/direction. There are so many options with the different necklines, sleeves and skirts. My whole knit supply has just been waiting to become a Paris day dress! It’s really comfortable and practical too.
Mary Acosta –
Love love love,,,will be making another with 1 tier
June Butchee –
The Paris Day Dress is a quick, flattering sew. You can make it with different sleeve lengths for whatever weather you would like to make it for. It can be casual or dressy depending on your fabric choice and accessories. A big plus is that it is so comfortable to wear.
Mel Cornwall –
Such a lovely make. The ruffles are just adorable. Perfect fit. The most comfortable dress I own.
Pamela Turner Munnerlyn –
I loved making this dress. Very quick and easy to do. I know I will be making more of these in the future.
Geraldine Tan –
I loveeeeee the outcome of the dress! decided to challenge myself doing the cap sleeves and 3 tiers gathers. wasnt the easiest but i love how it turned out!:)
Shyela Webster –
Pattern was easy to follow. I don’t have a serger so I struggled with the inside seams. I think when I make a second one, I want to try to do a French Seam (if possible) but true to size, good directions.
Angel Pooley –
Cute dress and so comfortable in jersey fabric. Simple sew with great instructions
Sarah Hopkins –
Although simple to sew it does take a bit of tweaking to get the fitting right. It came on the big size on me. I love the different options and would like to try the 3 tier ruffles next. Fabric choice is so important for this one!
Kainui Nihipali –
The Paris Day dress is a beginner sew and quick with a serger, which I used. I love the flow and relaxed fit of the skirt. I made a size medium for a family friend & am looking forward to her pictures! I adjusted for height in the bodice & think it turned out great. I’m excited to sew a few more dresses!
Charlene Lee –
I like the ease of this pattern and the nice shape it takes on when finished. It is a very comfortable dress and I will be making more . Love the clear instructions to put it together.
Sandy Salierno –
This dress was a dream to sew! It gives lots of practice with gathers and is an easy way to get more familiar with knits. The best part has to be wearing it. It’s hands down the single best day-friendly twirl I’ve ever seen.
Stephanie Springer Leddy –
My daughter loves this dress! I made the single tier option and it was a very quick sew (I spent more time fighting with my sewing machine than actually sewing, ha). She loves that she can put it on herself, and it has just enough “twirl” for her liking. The bound neckline gives it a very tidy finish.
Alieke Enders –
Such a nice and versatile day dress! It’s a reasonable quick sew and easy to sew, due to the very clear instructions.
Jennifer Lichak –
What a lovely and quick pattern!
Betsy Koestler –
A great little loose-fitting day dress! Fairly simple construction, quickly thrown together.
Abby Villarreal –
This is a great dress with a lot of options for customization! It is a good way to use fabric that has 2-way stretch in different ways, as there is an option to make one of the tiers of the 3-tier skirt opposite grain than the rest of the dress. Also, having both short and long sleeve options makes this a go-to pattern for any time of year!
Pam Kosirog –
The instructions are well written and easy to follow but be sure and ready through them all before you start. It’s easy to follow the different options ie sleeve type, neck finishing and skirt type. The pattern pieces are super easy to match up and put together and I love being able to print just one or two sizes. Also there is a table that tells you which pattern pages to print for size and selected sleeve and skirt, saves paper! My granddaughter loves the dress, I made the single tier skirt.
Jenny Gomez –
Cut and sewn in a day, but looks way harder! Got all kinds of compliments the first time I wore it
Luana Furlanetto –
“The only challenge of this dress is gathering. But I have to say that it was a great project to try new gathering techniques! Besides that, it was pretty quick and easy. I made it in cotton spandex, and I might try it in DBP in the future.
I love how flowy it is!”
Alisha Sparks Adams –
Such a fun pattern! I made this for my LO in a sunny yellow modal jersey. A slinky knit isn’t for the faint of heart but the pattern itself is not complicated. I love that the tiers make it easy to take this pattern from a dress to a top.
Jenny Olson-Cole –
I love the versatility in this pattern! I’ve got three girls and already have several plans beyond what I’ve already made! The tiers can be tricky if you’ve done limited gathering, and it was not quick for me, but I LOVE how it turned out and my pre-teen daughter loves the twirlyness (even if she’s not a twirler, she says). Made a size 12-18 months for my youngest but will need to adjust the length as it is currently skimming the floor! Live and learn to measure the kids height! Very happy I tried this pattern, am even contemplating it for myself.
Susan Pearson –
Lovely dress, easy sew – very customizable
Susan Pearson –
Great pattern! Easy sew, can be made to look casual or dressy. Really nice options with materials and pattern pieces.
Deb Sendelbach –
What a fun, fun, fun dress to make. I love it!
