The Arabella skirt is a beautiful and timeless pattern. The many options included in this pattern make this skirt so versatile! You can choose a tall or short waistband, with or without a sash, and between 4 lengths! Use a luxurious fabric, add a sash and a tall waistband, and pair it with a nice blouse for an elegant outfit for special occasions; or use a fun bright fabric and pair it with a shirt for a summer outfit that will turn heads!

Great first garment project (super detailed instructions won’t leave you hanging) or such a fast satisfying sew for more experienced seamstresses. You can’t go wrong, all with the trademark Rebecca Page gorgeous details and finishes finishes. I have not sewn my last Arabella!!!!

Sometimes you really want a tailored flat front to your skirts or a pretty sash for a dramatic bow and this skirt takes the basic gathered skirt up a notch by adding those features. Beautiful results in less than an evening.
Debra Rigsby –
I love this pattern! It is such a quick and easy sew. The instructions leave you with a very well finished product with all finished seams. I love how the elastic is only in the back, giving the front a more crisp look.
Tammy Fowler Foster –
I absolutely love this skirt! Directions were easy to understand. Fabrics needed were inexpensive. The toughest part was the gathers. But, ultimately, you come up with a unique and beautiful skirt that can be dressed up or down!
Mandy Squire-Lee –

Lisa Lazenby –

Jen Kolar –
This is a great pattern with lots of flexibility. I love that it can be dressed up or down depending on your fabric choice. The sash adds an extra special twist. The pocket detail is wonderful and the finished garment is so easy to wear. I ranked it as intermediate based on some top stitching and fussing with the sash/waistband.
Sarah Miller –
This skirt is a quick and easy sew! It is so fun and comfortable! I loved the different length choices which make it very versatile. It also has pockets, which I love in a skirt pattern!
Cara Girven –
Easy and quick sew, but such lovely and professional looking results! The pattern was well drafted, and the instructions are thorough and easy to follow.
Ann-Marie Abrahams –
Absolutely loved this pattern, I made one for me and one for my daughter in an afternoon while at work! Super quick and easy but with beautiful finishing techniques that really stand out. Love the ease and fit of the elastic back but the smooth look of the flat front.

Cordelia Henderson –
I liked this skirt very much! It was fun to make and it is great to pair with blouses. As a thirteen-year-old, I found it very flattering. It took very little time to sew and it is beautiful!!
Amy Vickers –
I love this skirt pattern!! It is very easy to sew and I love that it has the French seams!!! I will definitely be making more. Only thing I think would be better is to uses less width because it seems to be a little more poofy around the waist than I would like. But otherwise great pattern!!!!
Kiran Grewal –
If you’re looking for a skirt that is a quick sew with stunning results, this is the one you need. Arabella came together effortlessly and I am so pleased with the results. Got loads of compliments for it as well 😉
Nici Ivey –
Fantastic versatile skirt pattern! The options really are endless for this skirt. I had intended to make myself a skirt, but as soon as my daughter saw it she asked for one. I let her pick fabrics and options. She went with the knee length, regular waistband, and no sash. It went together like a dream, even with all the gathering! She has already asked for several more for her to wear to school!
Chris Shapiro –
The Arabella maxi skirt with it’s flowy style and flat front/elastic back waistband is flattering and comfortable. Made from wovens ( I used rayon ) It is feminine at its best! The tutorial for this pattern is easy to understand offers easy to follow diagrams as well. This will be a go to skirt for me!
Jennifer Anne Reeves –
This is a great pattern. A gorgeous skirt and a decently easy sew. It’s a great way to learn to do French Seams. Great pattern!
Kelsey Jean –
I really liked the fit and feel of this pattern. The skirt was full and comfortable. Directions were clear and the only thing I would do different next time is make the pockets a little larger to be able to fit my hand inside. Thank you for another beautiful pattern!
Hannah Goulter –
Great pattern, easy to sew, also handy that you don’t have to print the whole thing , measurements are provided for the skirt as an alternative
Frieda Flavianu –
A classic, versatile and beautiful pattern. What I expected is what I got. It all depends on the type of fabric used. My first maxi skirt I ever made and I will be making more.
Sydney Norwood –
This is a fantastic pattern! I’m a huge fan of high-waisted skirts so this was perfect. I used bubble crepe fabric for the first time, which was a little fussy to work with, but made a very lovely, flowy, skirt. My only regret is that the flowiness of the fabric I used didn’t let the bow be as crisp as I wanted it, but that just means I’ll have to make more skirts!! One of my favorite makes so far!
Elmarie van Deventer –
This was such a straightforward skirt to make. The instructions are super clear and easy to follow and the RP team gives great advice for doing the gathers. With various lengths, optional sash and pockets, and the choice of 2 waistband, you have make so many of these skirts and have them look completely different each time! I love versatile patterns and this one is great!
Chaney Baxley Mobley –
The Arabella is a beautiful pattern with easy to follow instructions, professional finishes and looks fantastic when done. And the best part, POCKETS!
Ana Inês Barros –
I wanted to do this skirt since it’s release. I don’t know what kept me so long. But I know I choose a magic time to do this magic gorgeous skirt. Love it.
Ellin Selkirk –
I love this skirt!! The pattern is so simple and instructions are super easy to follow, best of all the cut chart means you dont have to print a heap of pages. Great to wear all year round
Kamilla Székely –
Love the look of The Arabella! It’s pretty and easy at the same time.
Ana Miguel –
It’s an easier pattern and very quick. Love this matchy matchy mum and daughter ❤️
Adi Brewerton –
Lovely pattern, clear instructions, sits and fits well and has POCKETS!!
Cindy Matthijssen –
Lovely skirt pattern with some nice options! I did the shortest version without the sash and my girl loved it. It is an easy sew, the sizing was accurate and my girl loved the fit.
Jennifer Means –
This pattern sewed up quickly and easily! Lots of fun options and my daughter is already requesting more.
Amanda Cunningham –
This was a really easy and quick sew! Took me less than hour to sew up. It has lots of room for my daughter to wear shorts underneath comfortably while playing outside. It also can be dressed up for church or other special outings. I will definitely be making more for her summer wardrobe.
Debbie Prince –
This is a super simple skirt to make and could make in super quick time. Instructions were very clear. was my first time putting pockets in a skirt and with french seams it was very easy.
Victoria Fenner –
I have loved making the Arabella skirt for my daughter. Such a great skirt to twirl in! And pockets- yay! What initially looked like a complicated sew was actually just a few simple steps and I’m so pleased with how it turned out! I made the knee length version, but I’ve already been asked to make the maxi length. I will definitely be making more!
Donna Lowe –
This is a wonder full pattern. I love the fullness of the skirt and the options for different lengths. It is a great pattern for beginners. I can’t to make more of these for my daughter.
Bridget Taylor –
I enjoyed making this skirt. I did have a few confused moments due to directional fabric, but that’s not a new thing for me! I did this in a woven as well as a light-weight knit and both turned out great. The woven has more of a dressy factor to it, but my daughter was insistent that she needed a purple skirt.
In hindsight, I don’t think I’d bother with the pockets again for her even thoug they are relatively simple. I did french seams the first time, but went with using the overlocking foot for my regular sewing machine the second time. I think for a special fabric I’d likely stick with french seams because I prefer that look.
I will definitely be using this as my go-to pattern for quite a while for her skirts. I like the mix of an elastic back waist and a set front one. Oh.. if your kiddo is a bow person, do the wider sash. I know mine will prefer that in the future. The regular waistband looks nice, but it doesn’t have the “”wow”” of the bigger bow.
Donna Jones –
This is a beautiful skirt! The only issue I had were in the sash/waistband where I would suggest stressing the seam allowance at the sewing the sash steps as I must have done it wrong because when I attached my sash and folded my waistband my sash was too wide. I overcame it by gathering the sash a little, but it would have been fine if my seam allowance was right to begin with. Love the skirt, as does my goddaughter x
Victoria Evitts –
What a beautiful pattern! This really is the skirt of little girls’ dreams… it twirls and it has pockets AND a bow. The finishing touches are all thought of and you’re really talked through the whole process of making it look as professional on the inside as it does on the outside. I just can’t wait to make one in my own size now!
Catherine Murdock –
I love this skirt , it’s so simple to sew with an amazing end result
Mireille Ribiere –
A great skirt what you can make with different kind of fabric and still looks great. You’re child will love it and it is an easy and fast sew
Rebecca Jarmola –
This is a great skirt, my daughter loves that she can twirl in it. I found the pockets tricky to get the right way round but it was worth persevering as she loves the fact that her skirt has pockets.
Magda Rindmo –
A fast and fun skirt to make. Fits perfect with the flat waistband on the front and the elastic in the back. I recommend everyone to try this!
Chantal van Drunen –
What seemed like a very, very simple sew, took a little more effort. Especially the waistband is a bit tricky, but as always the instructions are very clear and with the pictures, I got this done!
Melinda Bailey –
This skirt was a dream to sew, with easy to follow instructions, and looks so sweet on! Loved making this skirt!
Tara Erwin –
I made sister skirts for my two girls with the Arabella skirt and absolutely love them! They were so quick and easy to sew up and were perfect for a spring outfit. I love the sash/bow option. Adds such a nice little touch and was pretty easy to do! I love that it has multiple length options for the skirt too. definitely one I will be using again and one I’m definitely gonna need for myself!
Mariza Seymour –
The perfect skirt to make any little girl happy. My little fashionista has proclaimed that this will be the only skirt she wears from now on! The pattern has clear instructions and the outcome is just amazing!
Khirya Littoria –
I love it !! Gorgeous pattern 🙂
Jamie Adler –
Bella, Arabella! It is a wonderful addition to her wardrobe and easy to follow pattern. She can wear her Arabella for lunch with Gramma or at church services. It twirls, too, she said. This is a highly recommended skirt!
Alisha Sparks Adams –
Super quick sew with a BIG payoff. It’s a darling skirt that creates the perfect silhouette. My LO calls it her princess skirt. Added bonus, it takes very little fabric. I’ve already cut a second one. Super quick sew with a BIG payoff. It’s a darling skirt that creates the perfect silhouette. My LO calls it her princess skirt. Such a sweet and beautiful pattern with a lovely result!
Tove Julén –
Well written pattern that is easy to follow along. Love that it has cutting charts too so you don’t have to print a big square. The skirt is so beautiful and looks alot more advanced than it is to sew!
Sarah Hopkins –
“I love this skirt, a great beginner sew or quick sewing you’ve had more experience. The fabric choice really makes a difference. Choose something floaty and you’ll want to swish every time you wear it!
The pattern has optional pockets, plus a range of lengths, it’ll become a wardrobe staple. I’m already planning my second arabella “
