Kayler Griffiths –
This was a super quick & easy sew. I loved using rayon for this project as it’s very flowing. I love it & will definitely be making more!
Emma Polley –
This skirt is such a beautiful sew! I love the textured details on the lace panel & the flowy bottom. I can see more of these in my future come summer time!
Shauna Richards –
This skirt has an amazing silhouette and can be worn in all sorts of situations! Dress it up to go out on the town or dress it down and wear it to a picnic. I wore mine to work and got a lot of compliments! The thick waistband option is very flattering to my fuller figure which is always a perk. I can’t wait to make more of these, just have to buy some more fabric!
Melinda Bailey –
This is now my go-to maxi skirt pattern! So easy to understand and sew, and it falls beautifully! Will definitely be making more!
Michelle Wellstead –
Loved this skirt, don’t wear this style ever but sewing my own clothes is giving me the courage to try new styles and I couldn’t be happier. Made this skirt in a day, and wore it to the pub that night and had lots of lovely compliments, I felt awesome, such a feminine style, I felt so pretty wearing it. Have cut out another to wear to a bridal tea party, I think it will be perfect for this occasion.
Linda Berendsen –
The Isabella is a quick and easy sew. I love the photo instructions, you can choose for the serger option or decide to go for the French seams. You can use all different kinds of fabric, so whatever the occasion the Isabella is a perfect match.
Emily Stephens –
This was a fast, fun and lovely skirt to sew! I love matching with my little one so having the adult and child option was awesome. The skirt is full and feminine and makes us BOTH really happy!
Vicky Hughes –
Such a fun sew! Very clear instructions, pattern very easy to put together. Finished garment looks amazing! Not my usual type of sew but will definitely be making more of these lovely skirts.
Stephanie Tharp –
This fabulous skirt has charm and boho character. We love it so much. I love how every step has a finishing touch.
Jablko Nepada Daleko –
It was very easy and fun. But for a thicker lace, as I used, it was not possible to use hidden French stitch. So I had to use the regular and zigzag, so it is similar to using overlock seam. The result is gorgeous and my friend is so happy. This skirt will last far more, because of the elastic, skirt will be shorter, but the elastic allows it to wear it for such a long time.
Sara Russell –
The Isabella is such a cute maxi skirt pattern. I love the little lace detail and the option to have a high waistband. It came together quicker then I thought!
Lurinda Prinsloo –
The kid’s Isabella is a quick and fun sew! My daughter loves to dance in hers. I had to shorten the skirt even though I didn’t think I would have to according to the measurements, but this does not take away from the fact that this is a lovely pattern.
Deshai Richardson –
It was very easy to go through and sew. Wears nicely and has a beautiful flow
April Lett –
This skirt is beautiful inside and out! The French seams on the inside make it difficult to distinguish the inside from the outside. This skirt introduces many sewing skills and the pattern instructions do very well at explaining what it is and how to do it. I found this to be a tedious sew that required a great deal of concentration. The fit of the final garment, when constructed based on body measurements, yields an accurate presentation of the line drawing and garment intended.
Shelby Chubb –
This pattern has totally stolen my heart! It may be a contender for favorite RP pattern now. At first I wasn’t as excited but once I started working on it, it all came together so easy and looked so good in the end that any doubt I had was completely vanquished! It’s the type of quick, satisfying sew that makes you want to make it over and over. Highly recommend to anyone, but especially for beginners who want to feel great about a well-fitting garment they will get tons of compliments on.
Shaina Mack –
This was a quick and easy sew and is perfect for beginners. Isabella is fun to wear, comfortable and looks beautiful yet completely different depending on the fabric that you choose.
Mawarita –
Easy sewing, great tutorial & my skirt has the professional look. It’s a bonus!
Marietjie –

Erica Nemnich –
Great pattern. Love the lace detail!
Betsy Koestler –
I love this pattern. It is a lovely design. A maxi skirt with a lace tier and a ruffle? It was not my first nor second choice, but IT IS NOW! I will be making many more of these! The sizing was spot on (though there is a lot of give because of the elastic!).
Amy Strawser –
The Isabella was an enjoyable sew and a very nicely put together pattern. I will be making more!
Sue Parrott –
This is a stylish, beginner friendly pattern that’s so much fun to create! You’ll feel like the bell of the ball wearing this skirt! It’s maxi length and fullness make is fun to create and the opportunity to play with different laces (or even contrasting fabric) at the lower tiered edge making it one you’ll reach for again and again. The elasticized back waist make this ultra comfortable! What more could you want?
Emily Stephens –

Shirley Soon –
I feel beautiful when i put on my Isabella! This pattern was not difficult to sew but does take some time to put together (gathering)! This is my first maxi skirt and Im already looking forward to make more, it is just so comfy to wear!
Kristen Wilson –
I don’t often sew for myself so what a treat to have such a wonderful skirt. I love that with a simple change of fabric you can change the feel of the skirt (from tropical beachy to trendy boho).
Siska Ferdina Taslim –
No zippers or buttons makes it a quick and easy sew. Makes a lovely skirt too!
Sue Parrott –
This is a fast and fun make! It’s also fun to wear! Choose a lightweight fabric to make is swirly and drape properly. Depending on the weight of you fabric, you may want to consider adding interfacing. For reference, I am 5’7” and the length is perfect. I thought the drafting was great!

Karen Thomas –
Love this pattern, if you are a beginner it gives a great opportunity to build your skills and to add to them, if you have never tried French seams this is a great pattern to try them out on. The style means that you have plenty of freedom of movement when wearing it, because of the gathers at the waist it is very forgiving if you make a mistake with your seam allowances so it wouldn’t be too tight. I have used a light medium weight fabric and it hangs well, it could be made quite dressy if made in silky fabrics and would be perfect to wear for a summer wedding.
Gina Gongora –
Awesome, easy and versatile. Definitely an enjoyable pattern and a must have item in everyone’s closet.
Gabz Jefferson –
Isabella is a simple pattern and easy to make but the finished garment is extremely gorgeous skirt ..
Frances Lancaster –
Isabella is a quick sew and lovely finished product! I selected fabrics from an inherited stash of silk dupioni and similar contrast for the ruffle. The gathering, pockets, and waistband tip it into an intermediate sew, but it’s a great pattern for a beginner pattern to work on those skills.
Alexandria Phillip –
I liked this pattern way more than I thought I would and absolutely loved the finished product. I used the cutting chart rather than printing out all the pieces and it was really easy to understand.
Adi Brewerton –
This was a fast sew and I love a full skirt with pockets. Because of doing a large size and therefore large amounts of fabric I would recommend gathering in sections. Can’t wait to Swan around in this!
Tiffany Amos –
I love this skirt for two reasons . First because of the French seam option for those who do not have a serger and the elastic paper bag back casing . It’s a super comfortable skirt and is great for a night out with the ladies or if you want to dress it up . You can’t go wrong either way .
Emily Schimelfenyg –
A great boho chic skirt for summer. I love how I can use my wide lace trim for the detail part.
Emma Polley –
This skirt is such a beautiful sew! I love the textured details on the lace panel & the flowy bottom. I can see more of these in my future come summer time!
Tracie Alviso –
Great pattern. Super easy. Fast to make. Lots of options in how with the ruffle and lace options. I love how long it is.
