Alexandria Phillip –
I liked this pattern way more than I thought I would and absolutely loved the finished product. I used the cutting chart rather than printing out all the pieces and it was really easy to understand.
Rebekah Homer –
It was great adding to my skirt collection. I really liked how comfortable the skirt is when wearing and moving. The fabric I used made it feel like the skirt was flowing out and away from me every time I took a step- like stepping through air currents. Hard to describe, but it was amazing.
Erica L Oswalt –
This is such an amazing pattern! Isabella everyday? Most of the directions were easy to read and follow. I thought it might be helpful to use 2 inch elastic for the tall waistband instead of two strips. In fact, I will do this for my other two skirts, because it will pull more evenly. Overall, I love this pattern, and this skirt.
Marietjie –
I found the pattern easy and quick to sew. The instructions was very clear and easy to follow.
Angel Pooley –
As a beginner to sewing I really enjoyed sewing this due to the step by step instructions. One thing I struggled with was the waistband, I found it difficult to understand but that’s probably due to maybe reading it wrong. Made a little mistake but it’s still wearable and due to the help of the group I figured out how to do the waistband better next time.
Gina Gongora –
Awesome, easy and versatile. Definitely an enjoyable pattern and a must have item in everyone’s closet.
Erica Nemnich –
Great pattern. Love the lace detail!
Amy Strawser –
The Isabella was an enjoyable sew and a very nicely put together pattern. I will be making more!
Shaina Mack –
This was a quick and easy sew and is perfect for beginners. Isabella is fun to wear, comfortable and looks beautiful yet completely different depending on the fabric that you choose.
Tiffany Amos –
I love this skirt for two reasons . First because of the French seam option for those who do not have a serger and the elastic paper bag back casing . It’s a super comfortable skirt and is great for a night out with the ladies or if you want to dress it up . You can’t go wrong either way .
Shankari Paradee –
The Isabella is such a fun pattern for those starting out in sewing! I love the lace trim and the ruffled bottom layer. The pattern is easy to follow and straight forward. You will love wearing your new Isabella skirt!
Shirley Soon –
I feel beautiful when i put on my Isabella! This pattern was not difficult to sew but does take some time to put together (gathering)! This is my first maxi skirt and I’m already looking forward to make more, it is just so comfy to wear!
June Butchee –
The Ladies Isabella is a full, gathered, woven skirt with a distinct feature, a panel of lace or whatever you want to coordinate with your skirt, right above it’s ruffle. Choose whatever color you like. Any color looks good for an Isabella. The waistband is elasticized only on the back section leaving the front smooth. The skirt can easily be dressed up or down depending on your mood. Try the Isabellas, you won’t regret it.
TaWanna Archia –
I thought this was would be a simple sew but with all the french seams it made for a lot of work. I love that it is out of the box and like a boho chic style. The instructions were pretty good, except for the waistband instructions. I did get a little confused. But overall a good pattern. It was my first experience with a pdf pattern so I did have a learning curve. Otherwise, great pattern.

I love this pattern. It is a lovely design. A maxi skirt with a lace tier and a ruffle? It was not my first nor second choice, but IT IS NOW! I will be making many more of these! The sizing was spot on (though there is a lot of give because of the elastic!) Though it is primarily a woven pattern, I think it hangs better in a knit fabric.
Deepthi Gunasheker –
Very east and fast sew. The inside has clean finish with French seams.
Sandy Simpson –
I found this pattern was easy to put together, easy to cut out and fun to construct. When I put on my skirt for the first time I was pleasantly surprised with the way it looked. It is flattering and delightfully feminine and I am so, so happy with it.
Pauline Kelly –
A flowy boho but chic ankle length skirt that made me feel younger than my years. It was an easy to follow pattern and I even avoided printing the pattern by using the cutting guide which is included. It is a great opportunity to use some of that special lace you have had in your stash and some pretty flowy fabric. I will be making a few more of these for my daughters as well.
Crystal Kashuba –
The best boho skirt I’ve ever made in my entire sewing career! At first I was skeptical about this skirt but, when I got the courage to sew it up, I regret why I didn’t see it up right away. It is not only cute but also comfortable and easy to make.
Stephanie Carnovale –
Amazing pattern, with so many possibilities!!!! It was really quick and easy to sew.
Sue Parrott –
This is a fast and fun make! It’s also fun to wear! Choose a lightweight fabric to make is swirly and drape properly. Depending on the weight of you fabric, you may want to consider adding interfacing. For reference, I am 5’7” and the length is perfect. I thought the drafting was great!
Shauna Richards –
This skirt has an amazing silhouette and can be worn in all sorts of situations! Dress it up to go out on the town or dress it down and wear it to a picnic. I wore mine to work and got a lot of compliments! The thick waistband option is very flattering to my fuller figure which is always a perk. I can’t wait to make more of these, just have to buy some more fabric!

Melinda Bailey –
This is now my go-to maxi skirt pattern! So easy to understand and sew, and it falls beautifully! Will definitely be making more!
Karen Thomas –
Love this pattern, if you are a beginner it gives a great opportunity to build your skills and to add to them, if you have never tried French seams this is a great pattern to try them out on. The style means that you have plenty of freedom of movement when wearing it, because of the gathers at the waist it is very forgiving if you make a mistake with your seam allowances so it wouldn’t be too tight. I have used a light medium weight fabric and it hangs well, it could be made quite dressy if made in silky fabrics and would be perfect to wear for a summer wedding.
Gabz Jefferson –
Isabella is a simple pattern and easy to make but the finished garment is extremely gorgeous skirt ..
Frances Lancaster –
Isabella is a quick sew and lovely finished product! I selected fabrics from an inherited stash of silk dupioni and similar contrast for the ruffle. The gathering, pockets, and waistband tip it into an intermediate sew, but it’s a great pattern for a beginner pattern to work on those skills.
Erica Nemnich –
Great pattern. Love the lace detail
Adi Brewerton –
This was a fast aww and I love a full skirt with pockets. Because of doing a large size and therefore large amounts of fabric I would recommend gathering in sections. Can’t wait to Swan around in this!
Mary Rabas –
Absolutely an amazing skirt (and that’s coming from someone who doesn’t wear skirts). I’m not very good with sewing clothing so I did struggle with this skirt but I think with some practice I’ll get better.
Emily Schimelfenyg –
A great boho chic skirt for summer. I love how I can use my wide lace trim for the detail part.
Sue Parrott –
This is a stylish, beginner friendly pattern that’s so much fun to create! You’ll feel like the bell of the ball wearing this skirt! It’s maxi length and fullness make is fun to create and the opportunity to play with different laces (or even contrasting fabric) at the lower tiered edge making it one you’ll reach for again and again. The elasticized back waist make this ultra comfortable! What more could you want?
Kristen Wilson –
I don’t often sew for myself so what a treat to have such a wonderful skirt. I love that with a simple change of fabric you can change the feel of the skirt (from tropical beachy to trendy boho).
Siska Ferdina Taslim –
No zippers or buttons makes it a quick and easy sew. Makes a lovely skirt too!
Lurinda Prinsloo –
I really like this skirt. The high waistband was a bit difficult to navigate with the two channels for the elastic – I struggled a bit to get the second one in. I shortened my skirt by 3 inches, and took 1 inch from each layer instead of all from the hips, as I was scared the proportions wouldn’t come out right. The gathering takes a lot of time, especially on the bigger sizes, but it is really worth it in the end. I love the flowy, bohemian feel of it!
April Lett –
This skirt is just as beautiful on the inside as it is outside! Using French seams creates a finish on the inside that is pretty enough to be on the outside. I found the gathering to be almost overwhelming on the abundance of fabric but I like the fullness and length. I found the pattern to fit accurately according to the body measurements taken: waist 47; hips 57.
