I was intimidated by the paper bag option, but wanted to challenge myself. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. I’m impressed that I was able to make such a stylish garment…and it has pockets!
Genevieve Lynne Grossmann –
I really liked this sew. The instructions were great and following each step resulted in a cute pair of shorts. They may be challenging for a beginner with the pleats and zip but are a really fun intermediate sew.
Corrine Smith –
The pants fit well around the bum and thighs, I found that its tight around my calves, overall I love the fit, style and a great sew with easy to follow instructions.
I enjoy these patterns and find I am taking the time to make my garments and getting a better result.
Thank you for another great pattern.
Mira Breton –
This is an amazing pattern. I really like the style and the fact that it can be so different if using different options or fabric type.
I definitively hate the zipper parts and never succeeded doing it invisible but it still look good.
Kelly Nicholas –
I’m excited for a pair of pants with an actual zipper and not just elastic. I love that these look sleek and with a little extra time, extremely tailored. Belt loops are fantastic so I can put together a complete polished outfit. I will be using this pattern again and again!

Piper paper pants/shorts is quite an amazing pattern. Choose your fabric wisely, measure and remeasure yourself because it will be worth it. If you get the fit right, this pattern will be a staple in your wardrobe. With a good size range, two available waistbands and lengths, optional side vent… this pattern instructions guide you all through the way till you get it done… which will be sooner than you think!

Love the way the pants fit!

I absolutely love this style, I was looking forward to adding paperbag pants in my wardrobe, so I was beyond excited when These were release. However, I did encounter two problems. First, RP small is always my best fit, I still checked the size chart prior to sewing, however, they still were too large for me in the waist area. It’s not too noticeable because of the sash, but I will have to grade them in the future. The second issue I found was with the Paperbag waist. After completing the pleats, it ended up longer than the waistband (maybe I made a mistake during the marking process?), but I was able to get creative with it and found a way to make it fit according to design. Otherwise, it’s a great pattern and I am so happy and honored to be part of this group and having the opportunity to get access to your beautiful patterns. Thank you!

These shorts are super cute! I think they’re great for someone who has a bit of sewing under their belt. The French seams were fun and putting in the zipper was a bit tricky! Overall, I really enjoyed putting them together!

Beautifully put together pattern – this pattern is so sophisticated-and perfect for an intermediate sewer or a beginner looking for a challenge. The instructions for pleats and darts, and zipper inserting are great, and the French seams make it so professional looking!
Jennifer Vincilione –
My first zipper shorts, the instructions for installing the invisible zipper was easy to follow. I like the darts on the back to help make the shorts more tailored.

I love how tutorial is written in this pattern. 2 thumbs-up! My first time doing French Seam & I am so excited to apply this on my next woven sewing.
Carrie Wilson –
Classic paper bag pant style, optional paperbag top with optional belt. Hidden zipper makes this a little tricky, but worth the effort!

I used light bamboo cotton steampunk fabric to create a pair of light weight, floaty 3/4 length pants. My daughter loves them. It was a very easy sew. I used an overlocker / serger to sew all parts of the pattern except the hemming of the legs. This is going to be a go to pattern for me and it would be possible to sew multiple pairs in one day. Highly recommend.

Love the look of these pants even if figuring out the paperbag waist band was tricky! Ask in the Facebook group for help if you need it!
