Katie Kennedy –
I’m really delighted with the Olivia! It’s a simple peasant top that is super comfortable to wear and I’ve been hunting for a top like this for my wardrobe. The French seams (including the sleeves!) are a beautiful professional finish and the directions are very easy to follow. The elastic gathers look sweet, especially on the sleeves, and I think it would look so pretty in some embroidered fabric. This is a great garment for showing off some very drapey woven and I’m happily wearing my new airy top in hot weather.
Geneviève Ouellet –

Such a sweet, timeless pattern with great instructions. I love that following the hidden seam instructions, the item looks as beautiful inside as out! Dani Arthur –

I needed a top for a photo session with my daughter and pumpkins. Couldn’t find anything suitable in her wardrobe. Definitely doing some more in the future!

Allison Tierney –
Love this as a staple in my closet. Such a quick and easy sew too!
Heather Gratton –
Such a great pattern! Extremely flattering if made with a lovely drapy cotton as it just flows over the parts of me I would rather hide (tummy!). A nice quick sew if using a serger and a slightly longer but worthwhile sew if using the french seams the pattern very clearly explains. So if you don’t know how to french seam, you will be an expert after making a few Olivias (as one is just not enough..) .
Emily Schimelfenyg –
Easy to follow pattern and a quick sew. Super cute little girls dress!
Tori Priest –
What a cute quick sew! I love that it cane be done in wovens or knits!!
Tori Priest –
My husband kept telling me how much he loved my first Olivia so I had to try a second! Used CL Jersey which isn’t as drapey as it should be, but it is still love!
Tammy Fowler Foster –
The Olivia is a super simple pattern to make. I rated it a confident beginner only because of the French seams. Those are simple, also, but might be intimidating if you’ve never done them before.
This little dress sews up quickly and would make a perfect last minute baby shower gift, especially since it looks a lot like something you’d see in a boutique.I have seen it on older children, too, and it looks great on them, also.
Without a doubt, I’d recommend this pattern to anyone looking for a unique dress that isn’t very difficult, but will make a great impression!”
Shelby Chubb –

The Olivia was a super quick sew even for this knit beginner! All done in no more than an hour (including cutting out). Pattern was very clear and simple to follow. A great bonus is that it can be made out of either woven or knit fabrics for a different effect! Will definitely be making more of these!!

Kyra Delaney –
I love this pattern so much! It’s perfect to use the adorable quilting cotton you buy and don’t know what to do with. It’s also so comfy when making in a knit too. It’s a simple sew that walks you through French seams if you haven’t encountered them before along with adding elastic making the fit so much easier.
Kristen Wilson –
Love the Olivia-quick sew with cute results
Kerry Wallman –
I loved this pattern! I love the different sleeve options and the wide range of sizes. This was a quick sew, and it was fun to use complimentary fabrics to create a unique look. I love that this is one of those patterns that will grow with her – right now it’s more tunic length, and she’ll be able to wear it for a while even as it gets shorter on her. Very versatile!
Kendall Gray –
The Olivia is a simple pattern that makes such an elegant shirt. I found the pattern very easy to follow and made my shirt quickly. I chose a lightweight fabric and love the drape created by the gathered neckline. It also is a very comfortable pattern it’s loose fitting and hangs on the body in a flattering way.

This was such an easy make. I love how it works with many different fabrics and the looks are so different. I even managed to make mine with less than 1.4 m of fabric, so I was really please. I’ll be making more for sure.
Adriana Benitez –
This cute shirt sews up quickly and easily with easy to understand instructions. I also love that it can easily be hacked. Adorable, simple, easy, and great for using my stash!
Leanne Miller –
WOW do l love Olivia. Very on trend, perfect to be worn from casual to formal.
Easy to follow instructions and drapes beautifully with soft draping fabric as per the instructions. Classic styling.
Kristin Rohde –
Great pattern with easy to follow directions. I made mine out of a knit fabric, so it drapes beautifully and is very comfortable! I will definitely be making more!
Kelsey Metoxen –
The Olivia is a great beginner pattern featuring an elastic casing. The pattern pieces together well, and the instructions are very clear and so easy to follow. This was my first elastic casing and I feel like a pro after the instructions. I really enjoyed this pattern and plan on making many more!
Keeley Jones –
This is a really great pattern and it came together quickly and easily! I love the fact that you can get drastically different looks just by choosing a different fabric base. Perfect for Summer and even transitioning to Autumn/Winter!
Emily Schimelfenyg –
A super adorable, fast and easy sew. I love that I can use knits and wovens and these small sizes are a great scrap buster.
Stacey Kay –
Very simple make. Perfect project for a beginner and it takes next to no time to cut and sew.
Yolonde Bates –
This is a very fast and easy sew. I found the size great for me. Due to the fullness of this top, when you cut it out it does look very big, but once elastic added it is perfect.
Alba Gallifa Hurtado –
This pattern is so good for those who start sewing. It’s an easy sew and you get a great result. I’ve used a fabric called flannel and I’ve chosen size M with long gathered sleeves (it’s called ¾ in the pattern). For the next time I’ll chose a smaller size because, even that I really like the result, I also want to see how it looks like when the Olivia it’s less wide.
The instructions are so clear. I’ve used my overlook so it’s been a really quick sew. It’s a really, really nice pattern. The only thing I would add it’s a long sleeves option for those, like me, who loves having sleeves as long as possible.
I can wait to sew as many Olivia’s as I can!
Thank you very much for this opportunity,
Bunford Orsi –
It’s a super fast and super easy, yet very gorgeous pattern! You can totally make it to fit your shape and size of the body, because it has a large size range. Love it!
Deborah Kraft –
This was a really quick and easy sew and I love the elasticated neckline! Perfect for the warmer days to come! I used a really thin and drapy fabric and finished it with the french seams suggested in the pattern which turned out perfect. Really recommend the pattern especially if you haven’t done a lot of elastics in clothes. This is a really good place to start!
Shona Young –
Love this top so much! I was a bit unsure initially as I am a lady that carries a bit extra in my bust, belly and bum so oversize, floaty tops can often make me look even larger than I already am. This top is not like that. It is so flattering and comfortable, quick and easy to sew up, plenty of options to try, you could not want more from a pattern.
Carrie-Ann Basterfield –
This pattern is amazing and so easy to do even with French seams. It went together so easy and looks really girly.
Shaina –
The ladies Olivia top is a super quick and easy sew. There is so much flexibility with this pattern as you can make it in knits, wovens and three sleeve options with or without elastic. Its the perfect addition to your wardrobe and its super comfortable to wear.
Amelia Keating –
Really quick and simple pattern…I love being able to go from cutting out a pattern to wearable shirt in less than an afternoon!
Donna Jones –
Beautiful quick, satisfying sew! My only disappointment was making the longest sleeve option and it being a ¾ length sleeve. The cover picture appears full length, maybe a free add-on or pattern update for the full sleeve? Overall a super pattern, thorough picture and written instructions as I’ve come to expect from Rebecca Page.
Karla Henrichs –
This was such an easy, fun pattern. It took me longer to print and tape pattern together than to sew. I thought the directions were very easy to follow
Cassandra Morris –
Amazing quick sew and super comfy to wear. Already made 2!
Bridget Taylor –
The child’s olivia is exactly the type of tunic top my daughter prefers to wear. It is super easy to get on herself, plus looks nice paired with leggings. I made it in a light knit and it came together fast with true-to-age sizing for her.
I’d recommend this as a beginner level tunic dress because the sleeves are so easy to set in. Usually, I’d dread sleeves for little girl dresses due to the small openings. This one is constructed so you do the armpit stitching and then the top of the sleeve is incorporated into an easy gathered (by elastic, not by hand!) neckline.
The other perk to this make is it makes for a good foundation for adding on embroidery and lace. I will definitely be doing quite a few more of these because they’re the perfect staple piece for any little one that wants to dress themselves! Paired with the Pippa pants (also a super easy sew) and she’s set.
Jen K –
This is such a quick sew allowing for some cute embellishments. It comes together in well under an hour and is a great comfy top for school, play and dress up.
Chloe Chew –
This is indeed a very quick sew but the result came out so lovely! My daughter loves the fit and find it very comfortable. The style is simple but it looks gorgeous!
Claudia Broos-Pauli –
Love this pattern, quick sew and great instructions. My little girl wants to wear it every day
Marie Biswell –
A quick fun top to make. No raw seams and it looks super cute on.
Geneviève Ouellet –
This top is really adorable! I love the versatility of this top; it’s perfect for all seasons and all occasions. And such an easy sew. Love it!!!
Elise Vanaman –
This absolutely adorable top is a quick sew and looks AMAZING! It is cute with a little something extra that really makes it stand out.
Dani Arthur –
I am loving the Olivia pattern so much, I have sewn myself up 3 in a few weeks! My daughter also has a few and loves that we can match together. A lovely simple sew with great instructions. Anyone could do it! It is so great that it can be done in a knit (stretch) or woven (non-stretch) fabrics!
Ummul Masakin –
A must have pattern for everyone. Very quick and easy sew!
Franchesca Delgado Garced –
I loved this pattern, from construction to fit, it’s absolutely beautiful and relatively easy to sew. Thank you!
Jackie Henderson –
Lovely pattern that is great for new sewests as well as for experienced. Excellent to work on French Seaming. Cool summer blouse and a quick sew!
Cindi Connors –
This was a quick and fairly easy sew. I have very long arms and wish there was a lengthen here for the sleeves. The short sleeve was more of a dap sleeve, and the length of the three quarter sleeve fell at an odd length. I will be making some adjustments and making more of these!
Cindy Matthijssen –
Pretty quick sew with a lovely outcome! The instructions are not hard to follow. Making the chasing takes a little bit patience but it’s not that hard. I love it that a pattern can be used for both knit as well as woven. I made mine in peachskin and it turned out great.
Kendra Quincy Knauf –
A very easy sew! I would have preferred the neckline to cover my bra straps and appear less boxy. However, I didn’t want to go down a size because that wouldn’t match my measurements. I love the drape of the top and would recommend it to be completed in as lightweight a knit fabric as possible!
Tricia Nguyen –
The Olivia is a great lose fitting top, that can be made in knits or wovens. Because of it’s loose fit really pay attention to sizing with this one. I am on the edge of 2 different sizes so I went with the smaller one for this. This gave it the perfect amount of flow for my frame. I need to try the longer sleeve version when cold weather returns.
June Butchee –
The Olivia is a nice quick sew that can be dressed up or down. It is just as great with a skirt as with pants or shorts for a casual look. It is a flattering look on anyone. You can choose to use a lightweight knit or a woven fabric. The choice is yours.
Amber Flanary –
The Olivia is an incredibly quick and easy sew! Perfect for those who are just starting to venture into making their own clothes.
Tammy Westfahl –
Very easy sew. I liked the option of using a serger or doing french seams. I did the french seams and will use this method in the future. The pattern seemed on the big side. I used my daughter’s measurements and had to take in the elastic on the neck quite a bit and the top overall is on the long side for her. I look forward to making more of these tops, as their easy wear for summer.
Angel Pooley –
Such a simple make with a great finish. A project I could really focus on making neat, great pattern to slot inbetween those harder garments. Thank you RP team.
Becky Gant Burns –
This is a quick and easy blouse, perfect for beginner to advanced sewers. This one is made in woven cotton, but would great in any fabric that flows. The directions were clear and easy to follow.
Sseem Sing –
Easiest and most satisfying sew ever 🙂
Deb Sendelbach –
What a great easy sew. This top can be whipped up in no time. Very beginner friendly. As with all other Rebecca Page patterns the fit is spot on.
Katerina Bauman –
An exceptionally easy sew! I highly recommend choosing a fabric with excellent drape for best results.
Diana Lee –
Beautifully constructed pattern, perfect for all sewers, from beginner’s to advanced. So versatile you can use a woven or a knit, your fabric choice will make this casual for a day at the beach, or fancy for that special night out!
Becky Gant Burns –
This was a wonderfully easy sew. I look forward to trying it in different fabrics. The measurements I took for my daughter indicated using the XXL. The finished measurements matched those in the pattern and fit her well.
Adelle Pears –
I love this pattern! The instructions as always are excellent, I especially love the chest sheet that allows you to speed through the sections I’m happy with and flick to the detailed instructions for any bits I need a bit more help with. It’s incredibly flattering and feels really feminine.
Bonnie Hillman Riley –
I love this pattern so much. I’ve probably made it more times than any other pattern I own.
Cassie Ledbetter –
I love it!! It’s so quick and simple – only 3 pattern pieces and easy to understand directions – it’s a one day sew “instant gratification” kind of project. And so very comfortable! It hides my mommy belly yet doesn’t look like a curtain on me. ? I’ll definitely have several of these in my closet.
Cassie Ledbetter –
Such an addictive sew! It’s so quick! I can’t wait to play with different fabrics, ribbons, appliqué, buttons…so many different ways to add onto this basic style and create a fun and unique style. ?
Jill Cook –
Love this top. Simple and easy to make and for once a great fit on me. Not easy when you are plus size. I would do it a little longer in length and sleeve length next time but still delighted
Jennifer Lichak –
Fun, easy and fabulous!
Rebekah Homer –
The Olivia top is pretty loose and easy in the fitting department. Nothing too complicated, the most “difficult” part is adjusting the elastic for your specific shoulder needs, and that’s really easy. Sewing the Olivia is super easy and simple. Great for trying out wovens for the first time!”
Jennifer Schonhaar –
Overall, I enjoyed this pattern. I wish I’d had more fabric to make longer sleeves. I do find the short sleeves are too open for seeing my undergarments. I also found I had to take in the elastic on the neck about eight inches. However, that may be due to my knit fabric being a bit heavy and weighing down the elastic. Like I said – overall this was a really fun pattern to make, and I look forward to making one with long sleeves.
Samantha Carling –
I loved this pattern, it was very quick and easy to sew.
Cassie Umbarger –
Love this pattern! It’s cute and comfy and the instructions are so clear. I’d never heard of French seams before but the instructions couldn’t have been easier! I would love a few more inches on the short sleeve and arm pit (sythe?)
Agnes Bobak –
It is a quick sew, it was even great for part of a pirate costume for my daughter. But also great for elegant outfits.
Adawiyah Hairuni –
Super cute pattern! Glad that I used woven fabric to sew Olivia for my girl. Instructions is easy to follow and I love the French seams finishing. Definitely gonna sew more Olivias in the future.
Aune Wood –
This was an easy fast sew for a nice floaty shirt. I can’t wait to try knit fabric!
Aune Wood –
My daughter didn’t want to take this off! This was a very easy sew. So excited for mommy and me outfits!
Maja Rus –
Simple and quick sew, absolutely appropriate for beginers, and great outcome 🙂 girls like to wear that simple shirt
Amber Stefanick –
This is the perfect flowy top for summer! It can be dressed up or down for lots of different looks. Pattern was very straight forward and easyto follow. Great for beginners!
Bernadette Aitken –
This pattern is so quick and easy it is a great place for a beginner sewer to start. The options allow for many variations and embellishments. It works well with both knit or woven fabrics. It can be sewn on a sewing machine or over locker/serger. It’s the type of pattern that can be worn in any season.
Maja Rus –
Simple, quick and easy sew 🙂 simple and cosy to wear.
Nicki Hibbits –
The loose-fit design of this flirty top allowed me to focus on learning a new skill (French seams) and not focus too much on fit. With only 3 pattern pieces and easy-to-follow directions, this was a great pattern for my first handmade top.
Liz Faber –
This top is perfect to wear. So comfortable it feels like Pyjamas – while still looking amazing for zoom meetings! The instructions were easy to follow and the photos are clear
Hayati Jamil –
Quick sew project. With a lot of ease. I might want to downsize from xs(my measurement) to xxs to suit my preference on chest. Long sleeve cut line is more look like 3/4 length especially when add in elastic.
Salome Goncalves –
Super easy pattern and very forgiving fit. I used a “heavier” fabric so the top became more voluminous than what wanted, but it’s an easy fix with a belt! I really like the neckline, so I can see more olivias in my future 😀
Michelle Mason –
Love this top, so nice and breezy and fabulous to wear, also incredibly easy to make. Cant wait to make more of these for the summer
Gabrielle Carisse –
Another super easy and fast to sew pattern. I like the versatility of the pattern as it gives very different looks depending of the fabric choice. Perfect to make breazy summer tops that still protects from the sun.
Gabrielle Carisse –
Super fast and perfect to use scraps of fabric. Now I have plenty of summer tops that didn’t take longer to make than it will take my girls to wear them.
Tiina Norrkniivilä –
An easy and fast sew! Just remember this one needs elastics.
Samantha Burton –
Super fun and easy! Love the way it looks and I cant wait to make more!
Sue Glas-Parrott –
Such a fun, easy, and gratifying sew! If you are new to sewing, this is a great pattern to try and it goes together so well! Be sure to use an ultra-drapey fabric so you get a beautiful result!
Pamela Stump –
Loose and floaty for a hot summer day, or soft and slinky for a sexy autumn evening. It’s all in the fabric and options you choose in this easy, versatile pattern!
Carmen Mills Brent –
The Olivia top is a fantastic and fast sew. It is also versatile since you can use woven or knit fabric. I love that it isn’t quite off the shoulder, so I can still get away with a normal bra.
Sandy Simpson –
I love this top. It is one of those utility garments that every wardrobe needs. It can be worn with or without a belt, tucked in, hanging loose, with skirts, pants, jeans, shorts, over bathing suit, or lengthened and worn on it’s own with a belt as a dress. It is quick and easy to make and suits all shapes and sizes. Perfect.
Harriëtte Aertse –
Great pattern to start your sewing journey with direct results
Nadine Humblet –
It’s a really cool sewing. It’s a beginner friendly sewing with a effective effect. It’s so breezy because I sew it in a crepe.
Janet Cox –
A quick and easy sew, with great options to dress it up. I was able to make the short sleeve version from leftover fabric from another project. The elastic-free sleeve option was also ideal with the current sortage of elastics.
Nadia Cadby –
A great make; really easy and fast to cut and sew (only four pieces). M is a little too voluminous for me so next make I’ll do a S. I used a medium weight jersey and did the longer sleeve version – I will try shorter sleeves next time.
Julie Lawson –
Loved sewing the Olivia blouse! Simple, easy to follow, pattern! My fav wants me to make her one now too!
Mary Acosta –
Loved it and will be making more!
