How do PDF/ digital patterns work? Simply download, print, and sew. You’ll need a free Adobe Acrobat reader program and any home printer (or a nearby copy shop for A0 printing). Once you’ve printed the pieces, tape or glue them together. You’ll find an easy-to-follow how-to guide inside the pattern instructions, plus support in our Facebook group.

The trim-free pattern comes in A4 or US letter printable sizes and includes full pattern pieces and a detailed tutorial to guide you every step of the way. An A0 format (pattern pieces only) is also included should you wish to have your pattern printed professionally. PDF Layers allow you to select and print only the size/s you want/ need.

The directions are straightforward and easy to follow. You can use any knit fabric. The different lengths open things up so much. If you want a party skirt, go for above the knee. If you need every day wear, you might want maxi length to wear with boots. This is a very versatile skirt. I will definitely be making it again!

I had initially been concerned that the skirt wouldn’t be flowy enough- too slim fit for a maxi skirt. I could not have been more wrong! The skirt has the perfect amount of elegant swish. It fits so comfortably and took almost no time to sew. I have fallen in love and don’t intend to fall out. This is really a great pattern for someone just starting out in sewing, or even someone more experienced who is looking for that perfect simple skirt. Love at first sew!

It fits me so well! And the short length didn’t take much fabric. Took me about 30 minutes from printing to last stitches! You have to try it!

    I have bought the patch pocket pattern as an add on because I have to have pockets!
    I have also discovered that if I up the size of the skirt a couple of sizes I can use a woven fabric because of the elasticated waist. So great for a light summer skirt as well. It’s brilliant

    The pattern is so easy to make that from cutting out to wearing took around 1.5 hours. I cut out, stitched and wore this skirt to dinner in the same afternoon/evening.
    Easily a pattern for beginners, just take your time with the stitching.
