Come join us for a sew along! Over 10 days, we will be working our way through the Andie Anorak and we would love for you to join us via video. For beginners, I’d recommend sticking with a plain coat with no options. For those who are more adventurous or experienced, there’s lots of options to pick from!
The Andie Anorak is so much more than just a rain coat; with all the different options available the possibilities are endless. Yes, you could make it up in a waterproof fabric such as nylon or PUL, or you can make up a gorgeous winter coat in a warm and toasty woven fabric, or a light and breezy summer coat in a lovely linen. An a-line, loose-fitting, raglan-sleeved anorak sewing pattern, it’s stylish and practical. Options include a detachable hood, two lengths (jacket and coat), patch pockets, epaulettes, and sleeve buckles. This pattern is a modern take on a traditional classic, and something every wardrobe needs! Come rain or shine, the Andie Anorak has you and your kidlet covered.
If you already have the pattern, the sew along is totally free. You just have to print your pattern, and gather your fabric and supplies! If you don’t have your pattern yet, get it below…

I want to purchase the pattern but I don’t have a printer. Do you sell the pattern printed?
Thank you.
Emily
No but the A0 version is so that you can take it to a print shop for them to print for you
Where are you purchasing fabric??? Only quilting store in town. I live in raining Oregon and would like a raincoat with hood. I am a beginning sewer, but with video I think I can do it!
You can definitely do it! Quite a few of the participants have been looking online. If you have a look in the sew along group, there’s a post with some suggestions from other members for where they have been buying online pinned to the top of the group 🙂 Hope you enjoy!
Very interesting concept.
Look forward to seeing you in the group, Joy 🙂
